This photo is an example of the many food plots we plant during the spring and summer. Not only do we plant these for the deer, but also the turkey, pheasant and quail (which we have released for future hunts.)
This is a picture of our bottom. We have put filter strips and buffers around the bottom area into the CRP program. We then strip farm the middle of all those areas, rotating wheat and fallow in those strips.
Our "safe haven" pictured here has trails everywhere. We have found scrapes, rubs, and deer beds all over. We allow rifle hunters to be on the perimeter only of this place, so that this will truly be a safe haven for the deer.
During the summer of 2006, we enrolled in the WHIP program, which we were able to build a pond for our bottom area. This spot is one that we get many photos from our Cuddeback camera.
Who would not love this view from our cabin deck? Gorgeous any time of the year!
